I enjoy living in the region.

Nadeem Ahmad Khan comes from Pakistan. The 38 year old has been in Germany for three years. In the meantime, he has already worked in a logistics office and is currently involved in the qualification programme* at TH Ingolstadt.

Mr Khan: Who or what helped you find your feet at the start?

I received support above all from the social security office and the staff in the town hall. In addition, my fellow students at THI were a great help.

Did you feel welcomed from the outset?

Yes! I felt welcomed from the outset at the agencies and authorities. My first experiences on the campus were particularly positive.

How is working out with making yourself understood?

I’m making myself understood well. At the beginning I was afraid because my German wasn't particularly good. Now I’m learning German and through the courses that I’m taking, it’s improving all the time.

How and where did you make some contacts?

Through the team at the integration campus.

Do you enjoy living in the region?

I enjoy living in the region. The city is beautiful and people here are very nice.

Do you have a favourite place?

My favourite places are at THI or by the Danube.
